GREAT POINT

Before I close this lesson I would like to bring to your attention a great point..............

It is important to know God’s will. Jesus said that His true relations are those who know and do the Father’s will: “Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother” (Mark 3:35). In the parable of the two sons, Jesus rebukes the chief priests and elders for failing to do the will of the Father; specifically, they “did not repent and believe” (Matthew 21:32). At its most basic, the will of God is to repent of our sin and trust in Christ. If we have not taken that first step, then we have not yet accepted God’s will.

Week # 9 Nuggets:

God leads us into His will by giving us an inner assurance of peace.

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts," Paul wrote to the Colossians, "to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful" (Colossians 3:15). God's inner assurance of peace will act as an umpire in your heart.

Although peace is an emotion, I have found it wonderfully reassuring as I've wrestled with the Lord's will. This deep-seated, God-given peace comes in spite of the obstacles or the odds, regardless the risk or danger. It's almost like God's way of saying, "I'm in this decision . . . press on . . . trust Me through it."

The will of God for our lives is not some high-sounding theory; it is reality. We have looked at some of the ways God leads us into His will. Now comes the bottom line: we have to live out His will in the real world.

Doing God's will demands a decision. And that decision requires faith and action. You can't see the end, so you have to trust Him in faith and then step out. You have to act. Faith and obedience are like twins; they go together.

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that "without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."

My Confession:

This week has been a very busy and stressful week, but God lifted the stress and caused me to be more than a conquer. My God is an awesome God, He reign from heaven above, and I know His will for me is to prosper me and not to harm me anyway. I know this about the God I serve! I have learned to know His will according to the Bible. I trust it!

According to this study: Questions

1).     What is the first step should we take in accepting God’s will?

Matthew 21:32 tells us to repent; we must repent then believe.

2).     Name some Biblical Principles concerning God’s will.

I Thessalonians 5:18

“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

I Peter 2:13-15

“13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

I Thessalonians 4:3

“3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:”

Romans 12:2

“2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

3).     If we are to know God’s will, how should we go about it?

As we seek God’s will, we should make sure what we are considering is not something the Bible forbids, ask God to reveal His will to us, and read His Word.

4).     Fill in the blank (from this lesson)

If we are walking closely with the Lord and truly desiring His will for our lives, God will place His desires in our hearts. The key is to want God’s will, and not our own.

Scripture Reading Luke 17

According to Luke 17:19, what does Jesus tell the man that has made him well?

D). His faith

Week # 9 Quiz:

1). Does God work miraculous healings, such as the ones we find in the Bible, in the present day?

C.  Absolutely yes, Jesus said "...he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do" (John 14:12).

2). To whom did Jesus say, "Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, [so] be it done unto thee." And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

 A centurion (Matthew 8:13)

3). To whom did Jesus say, "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee."

A man who had palsy. (Matthew 9:2)

This week’s prayer:

God, you know me better than I know myself. You know my fears and my desires. You know how much I want this. You know how much I will be devastated if this doesn't happen. I know you love me. I know you have a plan for me. Please, Lord, don't let my desires blind me to your will. If this is not within your plan for me, throw up a Brick Wall. Give me an obstacle I cannot get past. Help me follow your will, Father. Give me peace about whatever is to come. If this falls through, I will know it is your hand. Thank you for loving me, Lord, sometimes my situations will hinder me from knowing Your will at that very moment, I pray for Your will to be done in my life, and that when it take place I will know it's You and Your will for me. Thank You, Lord, for letting me know when it's Your will, the enemy, or my flesh. Thank You for revealing this to me right now in Jesus' name. Father God, teach us to see Your will operating in our lives as they did in Bible days. We do experience miracles, but sometimes we just can't see them. Help us, Lord. Through lessons we have been taught that about Your healing power, and knowing Your will and plan for us. Thank You, Lord. Father God, open the eyes of our hearts in Jesus' name, Amen
